There was a lot of world-building going on, as you can imagine in the first book of a series, and I found Jessica Andersen's writing style to be very similar to JR Ward's. Having managed my way through Nightkeepers, and then very quickly through Dawnkeepers and Skykeepers, I am eagerly awaiting the next release - Demonkeepers. It took me three goes before I could really get in to Nightkeepers.
