Now see, I liked the book before this one. So I was looking forward to this book. But, I agree. Gillian changed so quickly, and was pathetic and walked all over. Hello Brian lies to her all the freaking time! And at first she’s all “no” and “I’m going to stand strong” – only she doesn’t. Argh.
It’s like he bought himself a meal, and forgot about her- gave her the bag it came in as “consolation” and she’s totally ok with that. Well, whatever, it’s late so I can’t come up with a good analogy, but agreed. I got this book from the library Glad.

Jess – the series starts out really well. The first two books, especially. They stand alone okay so you could totally try the first one out and see how it goes.

This book doesn’t sound like it would be my cup of tea, but looking at the covers of the other books in this series, I have to say for some reason I really love them.

Rowena – Really? I’m glad you like it…I expected to, since I usually enjoy her books (although the last few not so much). I just didn’t feel any chemistry…passion…affection, even. I’m interested to hear what others thought about it. It wasn’t poorly written or anything but it was so disappointing.

Wow, how different our views of this book were. I totally bought it all and enjoyed the heck out of this book. I saw Brian’s calculating ways when he first came to get Gillian but I saw them grow closer as the story progressed and was quite happy with the book. Oh well, different strokes for different folks. Very thorough review c2, good job!
