Thanks so much c2, I finished the book overnight – barely slept a wink. In reference to Nancy’s comment, it was indeed a well done ‘love from afar’ book. And since I love those types of books, I was a very satisfied. Now need to get the first book!

I loved this book! When I read the first book in the series, Bride Hunt Ball, I thought both Rothbury and Charlotte were pretty interesting, so when I realized that To Wed a Wicked Ear would bring these two together I did a little happy dance. I don’t usually enjoy the “I love you from afar” type books, but this one was done so well that I loved both characters and couldn’t resist their charm. I am so pleased for Olivia Parker, she has done a great job with this series; and To Wed a Wicked Earl has become one of my favorites!

Oh Linny you should totally try these books! I would put Parker’s books more in line with Julia Quinn’s than with Lisa K’s. – not as emotionally intense, you know? Not that they are shallow…just a bit lighter in tone. And I don’t think you’ll be disappointed in the love scenes – they fit the tone of the book and aren’t too timid or anything. When I say “sweet” I mean the kind of book that makes you “happy sigh” at the end.

Hmmm….c2 I’m very tempted after reading your review, but never read this author. How does she compare with Lisa Kleypas? I have to admit, when I hear the word ’sweet’ I hesitate a little because I worry the love scenes will be a bit too timid/polite…is it the case here?

This was a sweet love story with great characters. I’ve enjoyed both books and look forward to Rosalind’s story next.
