I’m really looking forward to her other books now after what all of you have said! Syb also told me her earlier books are much darker than NLLaL, and since I love those kinds of reads, I should be in heaven with them.

Pam – I definitely will try those recs. I know you’ve told be before how much you like If His Kiss is Wicked, so it will be one of the first I try.

Marg – don’t delay! Read a Goodman as soon as you can! I was the same and now I can’t wait to get my hands on more!

I actually treated myself and bought this at the bookstore this weekend. I love westerns, and the story sounds really good. I’m looking forward to it!

It’s in my TBR pile, and I’m holding off so I can savor it. I discovered Goodman last year and glommed onto used copies of her Compass Club, as well as the newer Regencies. I think she’s incapable of writing badly. She goes to some very dark places in some of her books, but that’s okay with me.

Yep – I’ve read it and I really enjoyed it. The thing with Ms. Goodman’s books is most often things aren’t what they seem and there are layers and layers and layers in every book. You start out thinking one thing, but she changes it along the way.
You really are in for some wonderful reads if you are going to check out her back list. And as rich as her writing is in Never Love a Lawman, most of her recent books are even richer!! They are book you have you read slowly – to appreciate the way she builds her characters. And another thing that really stands out for me with her writing is the dialogue. And I love the intelligence all of her heroes/heroines have too. I don’t think she’s ever written a TSTL heroine.

I’m almost done with it (shhhh don’t give away the end!). I’ve been meaning to read it since before it came out and waited and waited for the library, but they’re sitting on their copies of it, apparently. And i do like to support a good book by paying for it, so I finally did.

I loved her last 2 books – English historicals, I think they were Regency, but might have been later. If His Kiss is Wicked (I think that’s the awful title) is amazing (in spite of the title) and totally blew me away. The Price of Desire is almost as good.
