I've read two books by Andrews now, and what I enjoyed about both stories was that she took chances with her characters. She didn't play it safe. Allie's back story, especially, is one that I think will divide readers. Some of them will enjoy the story (as I did) and others will likely be turned off by some of the choices she makes. But it does make for interesting reading. Says me. Where are you swimming off to Sybil?
