Glad to hear the Bollywood women’s fiction title found a home, after all!

My favorite travelogue (if I stretch the definition a bit to include travel memoirs rather than actual journals0 is not historical or British, but contemporary and North American/Middle Eastern. “Honeymoon in Purdah” describes all sort of experiences of the author and her male friend, who were not a couple but posed as married in order to travel in post-revolutionary Iran. It is a lovely book, showing all sorts of ‘ordinary’ people, who almost all of the time were extraordinarily friendly, courteous, and generous to the Westerners in their midst.

Oh, cool, an interview with Meredith.

I see Meredith hasn’t made an appearance yet, but that is only because she is on the final stretch of her deadline in an internet-free cave that can only be reached by carrier pigeon.

Hi! Great interview, Meredith. I love LJ Smith, too. I think she’s an awesome author and writes a much better vamp romance than another overrated, imo, teen author. Anyway, congrats on your releases. I definitely want to get my hands on any of your books!

Hi Meredith! I love love love Duke of Shadows, especially Julian, and I’m looking forward to reading your other books. I have a question on something that I didn’t understand in DoS. It’s Lockwood. There’s one part where he met Emma and her cousin at the theater. I don’t understand Lockwood’s part in that scene. Nor that of his wife’s. Are you tantalizing us on the mystery of their relationship? Are we to read about Lockwood and his wife in some future book? Looking forward to your response. Thanks!

I was curious if there is going to be a book that tells the story of any of the secondary characters from The Duke of Shadows? I may be confusing books, but wasn’t there something strange about the marriage of Emma’s patron?

I haven’t had a chance to pick up the other two books yet but love your “voice”, blushes and all!

I LOVED Duke of Shadows! I was totally drawn into the book and felt Emma’s anguish. I enjoyed Bound by Your Touch as well. Borders and FedEx have conspired to keep Written on Your Skin from me, but I am ever hopeful…

First, Meredith is my favorite working-on-a-doctorate author, and she’s introduced me to the wonders of Judith Ivory and Laura Kinsale (I just finished Flowers from the Storm), among others.

Second, a question: Any chance that a puppy or dog can figure into one of Meredith’s future books? Dog-obsessed readers everywhere would be thankful.

Third, a suggestion: Meredith, get yourself an iPhone or iPod Touch so you can communicate AND read. No need to haul books to India if you have one. My Touch is packed with ebooks, and it fits in my jeans pocket.
