Julia, thanks for replying. I like the idea of an "enriched text background" for your upcoming books. I wish more authors would do something like that on their websites.

Hi, Cheryl, and thanks for stopping by! All the authors in the collection are so excited about Regency Silk and Scandal and can't wait to read each other's books. One of the lists of suggested book titles we submitted listed hero-ids: the viscount, the gambler, the smuggler, the soldier, the aristocrat, the bastard, the rake, the gypsy--there's so much variety and so many different locales, from mine in Cornwall to Northern England to Brussels and Waterloo. Check my website from time to time, because we'll be doing lots of blogs and contests and things for the series when it appears next year. I'm planning to do my own "enriched text' background like they did for one of Nicola Cornick's books that will link to pics of the countryside that inspired locations in the book plus background on smuggling, revenue agents, sailing a cutter or lugger, etc.

I'm so glad you liked Untamed Heiress! Helena is one of my favorite heroines; it was interesting to explore how a girl who'd pretty much brought herself up would try to fit into the structured world of the Regency.

Thanks for the congrats, Maureen--and for being a devoted reader! Do check my website for updated info on when the next books will be released. BTW, I always have a contest running, even when I don't have a new book out.

Thanks again for stopping to chat.

Hi Julia,
I've read several of your books and have enjoyed them very much. I remember Hal Waterman as a very unusual hero that I enjoyed very much. Congratulations on all the new books you will have coming out.

Hi, Julia. I am intrigued by your upcoming book Regency Silk and Scandal. Like others here, I really prefer your first title The Silken Rope Scandals! No matter the title, the storyline sounds wonderful.

I have always enjoyed reading your books. I think my favorite is The Untamed Heiress.

I loved the excerpt from One Candlelit Christmas! Thanks for a chance to win a copy. :-)

Carol, nice to meet you, too. Glad you like the excerpt from ONE CANDLELIT CHRISTMAS. Meredyth is one of those "Cinderella" stay at home take care of family miss the ball kind of characters so it was great fun to have her finally find her prince, even though there were stumbling blocks along the way. I hope you'll seek out a copy.

Jane, I'm excited about Ned's story, too. I always felt sorry because he really fell in love with Sarah (heroine of the Wedding Gamble) even before Nicky did but since she already had a relationship with his best friend, he could never say anything. He's had this image of her in his head as the Ideal Woman all these years and the only one he found whom he thought might match her turned out to be heartless. I always love it when heros stumble upon just the right woman after they've given up all hope of finding her. And his situation this time is even more difficult since he's in disguise when he meets her and can't reveal his true identity. I'm hoping for another dynamite cover for that...should be getting a peek at one soon and I can't wait! Also, watch for an excerpt to be posted soon on my website.

Hi, Caffey! Do check on Amazon if you're missing any titles from my backlist. Their great network of used book stores can turn up all of them. Fall is probably the best season in Texas; after the heat leaves there's usually this lovely long slow glide into cooler weather. As for what's ahead, no more single titles in the works at the moment; I'm writing just for HH now, but don't rule it out in future.

Caffee and Pam, we authors kinda liked The Silken Rope Scandals and were disappointed they decided not to keep the title. Maybe they thought "silken rope" implied something kinky!

Pam, I'm delighted that as a long-time fan of Hal, you were pleased with his book. He was definitely a favorite character of mine and I'd long been looking forward to doing his story.

Thanks, all for visiting!

Hi Julia, I've read all your books (don't enter in contest) , and adored Hal Waterman, one of my top reads last year. I think he and Elizabeth were a great match, perfect for each other.

I like Silken Rope Scandals, they should have kept that series title; regency would be implied on the cover I'd think.

Hi Julia! I agree, you've gotten some of the best covers out there! As I love Medieval Romances, I love seeing what the cover pic will be from then! I missed some of the earlier HH until I discovered your books, so I shall be on the lookout for these Wellingford related books. I love when other characters within the families or friends have their stories! I know that info isn't set up as a series so it may be missing from inside the HH books so I'm glad I came here!

The The Silken Rope Scandals series is sounding neat! Now these I know about and won't miss :)

I don't like the heat either! I really do prefer the winters (and too the falls, our spring right now is too muggy for me). Thanks too for the peek into the Christmas Anthology! That sold out on Eharequin so I'd love to be in the contest Thanks. Do you have more single titles in the works as well? Great to chat with you Julia!

I think I've read just about everything you've written, though I didn't pick up One Candlelit Christmas. Seems like anthologies don't often get picked up on my radar. I'd love to get a copy, and I also can't wait for the book you've got coming out later this year!
