DuckFlashThis just in…

Cherry Adair is asking you to do your part in the fight against breast cancer.

~ But she’s one who practices what she preaches. Cherry will be walking 60 miles to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation annual Three-Day Walk for Breast Cancer.

~ “In this crappy economy everyone is struggling to find their financial footing,” Cherry said.  “I understand that only too well. And charities, no matter how well deserving, are feeling the brunt of everyone cutting back in a big way. I get that most of us don’t have disposable $$ this year, so I’m going to match all donations up to $5,000 for this truly worthy cause!”

~ 100% of the net funds go to research, 85% to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and 15% to the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.

~ Cherry’s got some reader logic for you if you’re not sure about donating: if she or any other author had a new book coming out this year, you’d likely buy it.  So maybe you perhaps donate the price of one paperback? Two paperbacks? A hardcover? More? And, remember, whatever you donate Cherry will match, so it’s two for the price of one!

~ To participate you can either join in on the Three-Day Walk or help in some other way at a walk near you. To sign up go to their website or call 800.996.3DAY.

~ Cherry has formed a group called Pink Petals in honor of her mother who passed away from breast cancer in 1974. Each member will raise money and then participate in the Three-Day Walk.

Consider yourself flashed.
