I felt it was missing something and like you, I wasn't really feeling Raphael. I love her psy/changeling series, totally. But this one just didn't really do it for me sad to say. I hadn't read any books by Nalini Singh prior to Angels' Blood (I know, where have I been?!) and this was the book that jump started my love of N.S. Since Angels' Blood, I went out and glommed all her backlist of the Psy/Changeling series. Thanks for your review! It was a different perspective (in a good way) to read since other reviews enjoyed the book. Oh, I loved this book. I hadn’t read any books by Nalini Singh prior to Angels’ Blood (I know, where have I been?!) and this was the book that jump started my love of N.S.
