I have to say I think this is one of the best books I have read in a long time. I adored it. Can not wait to see what you do with the brothers.

I haven’t read this post yet and hope my internet stays connected long enough too and to check out the dossiers . Hell I don’t even know who is up next. But I really didn’t think you were going to be able to pull off a romance based on the summary and you did in spades.

AnimeJune: For me it was the dialog to Star Wars (the original). I could recite the whole movie (probably still can).

andie: That’s where Chapter One ends. I’m glad to know I ended it on a good hook.

Thanks for all the comments! You know it didn’t occur to me while writing Ian that I was doing anything out of the box. I just needed to tell his story. Thank heavens my editor loved him too, and didn’t mind me doing something unconventional.

And Hart intrigues me, too.

Wow! What an amazing interview! I love me some unconvential heroes – I’ve known people with Asperger’s Syndrome, but from reading the excerpt, I can see how a lot of people would easily be able to relate to Ian. I myself remember some things word for word after seeing them once (like, uh, the entire script of The Little Mermaid when I was 3), but other times I’m blank, and how hard it can sometimes be to pick up on visual cues and body language.

Thank you Sandra & Jennifer for an amazingly indepth interview…and a fantastic excerpt! I heard about this book via Stacy and…WOW!

I also like that Ian is a very inconventional hero; I like heroes and heroines who are ‘outside the box’ so to speak…not beautiful caricatures of each other.

It’s been interesting, Jennifer, to follow these comments and see a couple people validate your interpretation of AS. I have a friend with a teen son who has AS and I don’t think she normally reads romance. I’m going to buy her a copy of this. Congrats on all of the positive buzz you’re receiving prior to the release.

I am fond of tragic heroes. It’s always so nice to see how they’ll overcome obstacles. It makes their HEA so lovely to read.
Ian and also the other brothers sound very interesting and I’m definitely going to follow this series.

I don’t think I’ve ever read a romance that tackles this subject matter. I’m looking forward to reading something unique because cookie-cutter romances seem to be everywhere! I have a weakness for tortured heroes and intelligent heroines – bring on the family of tormented geniuses! Can’t wait to get this one on my Kindle.

My younger daughter was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome last May and it has been both an eye-opening experience and a difficult journey to try and get people to understand what this means. I’m still trying. I would love a chance to read your book and see how you handle the issue. Plus, I think it’s wonderful that you’re taking this chance by writing about this subject. I think the more people who write or talk about it, the more other people will come to understand and accept it – and not be so afraid of it. People who have Asperger’s are amazing – gifted, funny – and it’s not fair that they are victimized by the ignorance of others regarding their condition. So thank you for taking on this issue.

I am very excited to find out about this book. My husband has AS and I can’t wait to read a romance with an Aspie hero! It is definitely a challenge to love someone who presents his emotions (and reads others’) so differently. I didn’t read the above excerpt because I am definitely buying this book!

I read to the drop of ink and stopped because that was enough for me to know you “get” it. My own love lines things up. Everything, all the time, in his field of vision. He’ll be tilting his head or moving slightly right or left to line up the light pole with the window sill or whatever.

I can not wait to see what you’ve done with the dialogue! I’ve often wished someone were recording some of our conversations, I know!

Hi Jennifer!
I’m really looking forward to reading “The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie”. The cover is fantastic! I enjoyed the interview and excerpt. I love Scotland. I also love ARCs and would drool all over it. lol! That’s while I’m reading it.
OMG! I hate ice cream trucks too! I’m always joking around and saying ‘oh, my kingdom for an uzi and 4 prozac!’ Hee.
We also share the same favorite curse word. Love that word. Anywho, I want that ARC very badly. Please, I need it to read to keep my mind off all my f****** problems. *snicker*
