Jen, it is indeed a real book. Like I said in the review, it wasn’t that bad considering. But, yeah. Definitely unique.

Caroline, the problem is that Deacon isn’t all that alpha. I think he should have been a bit more alpha, but he just… wasn’t, which made him bland. And I don’t normally go for alpha heroes. LOL I’m not explaining this well. I just think an actual son of Satan should be more interesting as a character.

I dunno… I can think of some alpha-@ss historical romance heroes who might as well have been sons of Satan. I certainly wouldn’t have minded seeing them consigned to hell. At least it sounds like this hero comes by that honestly by being, in fact, a son of Satan. Talk about a tortured past.

I also really liked the first book (haven’t read this one yet). And I don’t even like Westerns.

I actually thought this review was a joke at first glance, but now I see that it is of an actual book. An actual book about love in the West and…Satan.

Okay, I like weird, but…really???

I’m not exactly horrified, just confused.

As intriguing as a paranormal western (that doesn’t involve werewolves) sounds, I’m thinking I’ll give this one a pass.

Loved this review!

That being said, I just can’t make myself want to read this series. I just can’t. I love westerns. Lord knows I do (Hell, all of the blogosphere knows that I do by this point!). But I’m so impossibly burnt out on paranormal. Also, this series keeps giving me the reoccurring nightmare that the only way westerns will make a “come back” is if authors start mixing in paranormal woo-woo nonsense.

Yes, I know that’s irrational – but such are the inner workings of my slightly unhinged mind.

Still love this review though….

Giving the devil his due? LOL see Hols, and I was thinking I need to check and see if I have a copy of this cuz I think I might like.

And I am pretty sure I have one of these two on my ARC to read now shelf. So I need to move it up. LOVE the review. Verra verra clever shan .
