I'm glad you enjoyed it. Everyone reads looking to be entertained. Each reader has different preferences that will enhance or detract from their enjoyment. The absurdities of this particular plot did distract from my enjoyment of the romance. But it worked for you.

BTW, which character are you referring too? I would've liked to understand the point of the cult, and how/why it came to be. The female characters, not so much curiosity.

Even thought the plot may have seemed silly to you, isn't the whole purpose of the story to entertain? For readers to enjoy the romance part of it? It IS an erotic romance, no?
I personally thought the book was wonderful. It was an interesting plot even if it didn't focus on the character's past and the detailed concepts of what she went through. Rather it is the story about the now, with the past (and her childhood) being the outline, not the main part.
