Reading your review, I see we have similar opinions of this book. Good, but–I think I wanted deeper and more internal angst, less external anguish.
I’m currently reading Joey W. Hill’s Zone books and they are awesome. I can’t do a review, because we share a publisher, but she has all that connection, lots of inner turmoil, while moving the story on. I don’t usually read BDSM books, but I read hers and Doreen Orsini’s because of the human element. They make you care.

Great review, Lynne, I totally agree. I was really surprised at how much of a “standard” Kenyon hero Ash turned out to be when all was said and done. On a grander scale, and well written, but nothing particular out of the ordinary. Vintage Kenyon for sure.
