Janet, lol -I figured, if someone hasn't done it, I should :P (or at least someone recently). I'll have to see if I can find those books... I might have read The Wicked Marquis - but not the other ones... and they're pretty much impossible to find. I have to be in the right mood to read BC, but every so often, it's just so entertaining.

Thanks for your suggestions!

LOLing at your review of this Barbara Cartland novel(who ever bothers to review ol' Babs??)

I grew up devouring Cartland novels and, I must say, you are RIGHT ON THE MONEY about all those damn ellipses! (LOL: Eight ellipses on a single page might actually be a CONSERVATIVE figure!)

Even as a kid, I couldn't figure out why supposedly intelligent heroines couldn't manage to speak in COMPLETE SENTENCES.

You might also want to check out these Cartland if you haven't come across them already: "The Wicked Marquis" (my favorite), "Journey to Paradise", "A Light to the Heart" and "The Little Pretender".
