I just went on a couple sites, (allbookstores.com and half.com) that has Patience listed for publication January 2009. I have a good feeling about this timeline. Let’s hope this is the real deal.

If Patience does come out in May I will probably read it, well after the 30 books that are ahead of it that must be read AND that have come out on time.

NOW, it all makes sense! I just knew that there had to be a history that I wasn’t aware of. She Who Is Sweetness And Light just doesn’t react like that without reason, and I can see now why events lead to that response from you the other day, Syb.

I was on a couple of different book sites and read that Patience appears to be scheduled for release May 2008. I hope it’s true! And I’m gonna keep my fingers crossed!!

I’m really looking forward to it too, but with the pile of my TBR books and not getting to them nearly quick enough as it is, unlike many others, I have the Patience (hah hah) to wait for it.

I’m going to be the lone voice of dissent here, but I think the damage has been done. Oh sure, I fully expect the people who lurved Passion are still waiting with bated breath – but what about those of us who just “liked” it. That’s the camp I fall into it. I thought it was “good” and it was pleasant reading, but I wasn’t over the moon about it. And with the continued delays, I’ll be honest, I lost interest a while ago. But I’m also the girl who doesn’t get all the hype surrounding J.R. Ward’s BDB series – so what the hell do I really know?

I think the only authors who can have long delays and not “lose” readership are those authors with fairly loyal followings. I’m thinking of authors like Judith Ivory, Carla Kelly and Laura Kinsale. If you’re a newbie I think it’s write fast, write often and try to find a way to get your name out everywhere you can. Valdez’s name is still out there, but for how much longer if the book continues to be delayed?

The only problem now will be the expectations. They are going to be huge and Lord have mercy if she hasn’t started a third book already. Not many people stick around for 3 years waiting for another book unless it’s amazing. (of sci-fi – those people are nuts!)

And just you telling us that you talked to her editor and it’s still a project helps because the other day I saw the cover and thought ‘there’s one that’s never coming out’.

Damn, I can't read the excerpt!! I must not read the excerpt!! I hate when I do that because then when you get the book you've been waiting for forever, it seems to go too fast! I saw the *three months later* skimmed the first two paragraphs and fled the site.

Can't wait!

LOL mine screams woman avoiding life and really needs stop it.

And I have too much interest right now in romance novels, not just reading but what is coming out, what is selling, what is new or different and what not.

So as I find stuff, which many people prolly find as well, I like to share just in case someone has missed it. And the pics are nifty.

It is a shame I have no interest in writing, not even counting the lack of talent . Because I find the industry interesting. But that isn’t going to help me find a job in TX.

wow…thanks, sybil! Love it! I don’t know if I like the girl on the cover though…she looks like…gosh, I don’t know but she doesn’t look that great and she’s supposed to be a real beauty. Guy’s hot! I will def read this book. Been waiting for it since PASSION. Sounds real kinky! Love it!

BTW your blog is awesome…I need to do a bit more research for mine…been kinda rusty lately. Yours provides me with great inspiration. Thanks!
