another early review for Devil In Winter

I be all jealous these people have read it…

Damned Scribbling Women

And I am not sure which is right… RS or WF but Karen Fox has on her page:

NYT bestelling author Lisa Kleypass three novels, contemporary women’s fiction, to Jennifer Enderlin at St. Martin’s, by Mel Berger at William Morris Agency (NA). – Publisher’s Marketplace 2/17/05

Personally I think Contemporary Women’s Fiction is worse. But that is just me. I do wish her well with whatever she writes but damn I wish it was historical. Yes I am selfish and think it is all about me. What is your point?

I heard she was trying her hand at RS – which wouldn’t bother me – but women’s fiction – I hope not.

And just for the record – you have read Dreaming of You right? (grin)

Well I think that market place thingie is generally pretty right. But I am all for RS, I would try it. WF just I don’t know… to lifetime movie of the week for me.

LOL yeah I the one that warns people you are coming ;) .

As my piles of books grow, I am so amused at how many tbr are because of you and xina.

I just wish it took as little time to read a book as it does to buy one. In my saner moments, I know that I will never get them all read – and that’s if I never buy another book – which of course I will be. It’s getting so bad lately I can’t even find the ones I recently bought. I think as my stress level goes up – my buying of books gets worse. I must say, it’s of great comfort to know I’m not the only one slightly out of control ;)
And I seem to be taking up rather odd causes *grin*

Aw Hell! Another historical romance writer going Contemporary RS. I rarely buy that genre. This is so not good news! Oh well, I’ll give LK’s contemp a try.
And how lucky to get Devil in Winter early! I want that book sooo bad!

    Hey,
I read DEVIL IN WINTER and loved it. I’m saddened that Kleypas will take a break from historicals. I doubt her work will deteriorate! She’s an incredible writer! DREAMING OF YOU is a masterpiece and I agree with Kristie: IF YOU HAVE NOT READ DREAMING OF YOU AND DO NOT KNOW WHO DEREK CRAVEN IS, GET THEE TO A BOOK STORE NOW AND BUY THE BOOK!!! Back to the contemporary route Kleypas will be taking…I don’t know…I love historicals because I find the past so much more romantic than the present. I know things were exactly easy back in the 1800s but I love that period because in my imagination it was elegant, simple, sexy and its men were gentleman…of course most of this is in my imagination. I shudder to think of living in that time and not have flushing toilets…I will still buy Kleypas no matter what she writes! I wish I were a new fan of hers and that her books were still unread and in my TBR pile…I would love to read her again for the first time!
